Melanie qualified as a Podiatrist from the University of Southampton in 1994. She went straight into private practice, where she was based at the Nuffield Hospital in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire, as well as a number of other locations in the South. Tarsus Limited was formed in 2002.

Melanie has always specialised in biomechanics, treating people of all ages and levels of activity. She continues to see patients at the Nuffield Hospital, as well as a number of other locations in Hampshire, Dorset and Surrey. She is also a member of the Sports Medicine Unit at the Wessex Nuffield Hospital.

For the past 15 years, she has been actively involved in the prevention and treatment of injuries to military personnel, working alongside the existing on-site medical, physiotherapy and rehabilitation services.

Melanie has a particular interest in podopaediatrics, the management and treatment of children’s lower limb and foot conditions. She also treats amateur and professional sportsmen and women from a wide range of sporting activities.
